The Sacramento Monarchs return four WNBA All-Stars (Rebekkah Brunson, Kara Lawson, Ticha Penicheiro and DeMya Walker), seven players from the 2005 WNBA Championship team (Brunson, Lawson, Hamchétou Maïga-Ba, Chelsea Newton, Penicheiro, Nicole Powell and Walker) and three additional veterans (Laura Harper, Crystal Kelly and Scholanda Robinson) to the team’s 2009, 11-woman roster.
