Folsom High guard finishes sizzling summer
Folsom High School’s Kori Babineaux, a junior at the school going into the fall, had a different summer than most of his friends. While they made trips to the lake, Babineaux made a splash on the courts all across the nation, and along the way, turned all the right heads.
Monarchs continue to struggle
It is industry standard to give a new head coach at least a week to prove himself. After John Whisenant’s first week, we may need to give him another.
Another one bites the dust: Sacramento Monarchs coach fired
Coaches are dropping like flies in Sacramento. The newest: Sacramento Monarchs’ coach Jenny Boucek. The victim of another Sacramento professional basketball team’s downfall, Boucek was fired by the Monarchs on Sunday and was replaced by general manager John Whisenant.
Ryan Anderson hosting basketball camp in Folsom
El Dorado Hills native and 2006 Oak Ridge High School graduate Ryan Anderson will bring his NBA basketball skills back to the Sacramento area next month, hosting the 2009 Ryan Anderson Basketball Camp at Vista del Lago High School in Folsom Aug. 3-6, 2009. The camp will be for ages 8-17, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, and cost $275.
Rodeo gives Folsom opportunity at All-American fun
The 49th Folsom Pro Rodeo offered families a unique way to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend, providing fun for all ages wrapped in a red, white and blue patriotic bow.
