Kevin Martin’s return
Kevin Martin received a warm welcome in Sacramento on Monday night when the Houston Rockets came to town. While he was surprised, no one else should be. As Kings fans, it’s your duty to cheer Martin wherever he goes. He was a class act in Sacramento and played his heart out each game to try to make the Kings better. It just didn’t work.

The Sacramento area will be well-represented this weekend. While many eagerly await the arrival of the World Extreme Cagefighting’s first pay-per-view event at Arco Arena on April 24, fans won’t have to wait more than a day to see a local fighter take center stage on a Mixed Martial Arts pay-per-view event.

The NCAA Finals for men’s basketball on April 5 was one of the most thrilling in history. It had every element a big game should have, from a big underdog nearly pulling off an upset against a respected powerhouse program, to two game-winning shots that nearly fell. It had me on my feet the entire last 10 minutes, and created a memory most won’t soon forget.
Former All-Star Chris Webber to join Sacramento Kings’ frontcourt again
In an effort to rekindle team spirit both in the locker room and from the dwindling fans in the stands, the Sacramento Kings have acquired the rights to forward Chris Webber April 1. Webber is coming out of retirement for another season with his old team, hoping to light a fire under the hapless team and provide guidance to the rising stars on the squad.

In 2005, Oak Ridge High School’s Sara James watched her older brother’s high school basketball team bring home a state championship. Tomorrow, she has the opportunity to do the same.
