High school girls basketball playoff brackets posted

The Sac-Joaquin Section released its high school girls playoff brackets on Sunday evening, showcasing the seedings and matchups that will ultimately lead to a section title for one school in each of the five available divisions.

Division I

First round games will be held on Feb. 25 at home sites of the better seeded team.

Number on seed Oak Ridge will host No. 16 seed Nevada Union, while No. 2 Napa will face No. 15 Tokay, No. 3 Kennedy will face No. 14 Edison, No. 4 Franklin of Elk Grove will face No. 13 Rodriguez, No. 5 Pleasant Grove will host No. 12 Enochs, No. 6 McNair will face No. 11 Modesto, No. 7 Lincoln of Stockton will face No. 10 McClatchy, and No. 8 Turlock will face No. 9 Sheldon.

The second round will have winners face off on Feb. 27 at the Cosumnes River College.

Division II

Division II first round games will be held on Feb. 23 at the home sites of the better seeded teams.

Number one seed St. Francis will host No. 16 Rosemont, while No. 2 Bella Vista will face No. 15 Grant, No. 3 Vallejo will host No. 14 Atwater, No. 4 Fairfield will play No. 13 Rio Linda, No. 5 Woodcreek will play No. 12 Pitman, No. 6 Granite Bay will face No. 11 River City, No. 7 Inderkum will play No. 10 Vacaville, and No. 8 Valley will face No. 9 Ponderosa.

Second round games will be held on Feb. 25 at home sites of the better seeded teams.

Division III

Division III first round games will be held on Feb. 23 at the home sites of the better seeded teams.

Number one seed St. Mary’s will host No. 16 Oakdale, while No. 2 Del Oro will face No. 15 Galt, No. 3 Sacramento will play No. 14 Dixon, No. 4 Vanden will face No. 13 Manteca, No. 5 El Camino will play No. 12 Patterson, No. 6 El Dorado will host No. 11 Sonora, No. 7 East Union will face No. 10 Rio Americano, and No. 8 Natomas will play No. 9 Vista del Lago.

Second round games will be held on Feb. 25 at home sites of the better seeded teams.

Division IV

Division IV first round games will be held on Feb. 23 at the home sites of the better seeded teams.

Number one seed Modesto Christian will host No. 16 Orestimba, while No. 2 Argonaut will face No. 15 Waterford, No. 3 Colfax will play No. 14 San Juan, No. 4 Christian Brothers will face No. 13 Hughson, No. 5 Bear River will face No. 12 Ripon, No. 6 West Campus will play No. 11 Le Grand, No. 7 Capital Christian will face No. 10 Calaveras, and No. 8 Linden will face No. 9 Vacaville Chrisitian.

Second round games will be held on Feb. 25 at home sites of the better seeded teams.

Division V

Division V first round games will be held on Feb. 23 at the home sites of the better seeded teams.

Number one seed Bradshaw Christian will host No. 16 Lodi Academy, No. 2 Turlock Christian will face No. 15 Lutheran, No. 3 Wilton Christian will face No. 14 Victory Christian at Elk Grove High School, No. 4 Big Valley Christian will host No. 13 Foresthill, No. 5 Sacramento Waldorf will face No. 12 Faith Christian, No. 6 Trinity Prep will play No. 11 Ripon Christian at Napa High School, No. 7 Sacramento Adventist will face No. 10 Elliot Christian, and No. 8 Forest Lake Christian will face No. 9 Valley Christian.

Second round games will be held on Feb. 25 at home sites of the better seeded teams.
