Kings ‘Paint the Town’ Purple
Several Sacramento Kings will “Paint the Town” purple this weekend, visiting various sites around the Sacramento area to promote the team prior to the regular season.
The Sacramento Kings training camp roster and members of the Sacramento Kings Dance Team will join the NBA Cares campaign “Paint the Town” by greeting fans throughout the Sacramento region on Friday and Saturday to “thank them for their support in advance of the 2009-2010 season.”
On Friday, Kings will be at four locations. At Wells Fargo in Sacramento, with an address of 400 Capitol Mall, Tyreke Evans and Lanny Smith will be on hand from 5 to 6 p.m. At Raley’s on 8870 Madison Ave. in Fair Oaks, Beno Udrih and Kenny Thomas will be on hand from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sergio Rodriguez and Melvin Ely will be at ARCO Arena for Star Wars: In Concert. On hand for some Friday night football will be Kevin Martin and Sean May, both attending the Folsom High vs. Casa Roble varsity football game in Orangevale at 9151 Oak Ave. from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Kings will have four stops, too. Francisco Garcia and Andres Nocioni will be at the Carl’s Jr. in the food court of the Arden Fair Mall from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Omri Casspi and Donte Green will be in Old Sacramento from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Second Saturday on 2206 K Street in midtown Sacramento, Spencer Hawes and Jon Brockman will be in attendance, followed by Jason Thompson and Desmond Mason at the same location from 7 to 8 p.m.
