Mixed Martial Artist Urijah Faber is a popular man in his hometown of Sacramento. Didn’t believe it before, despite his near sellouts of ARCO Arena every time he fights? Well here’s more proof.

Hoping to use Faber’s success to attract more fans to a Sacramento Kings game, the Kings will host “Urijah Faber Night” on Feb. 23.

Faber’s always supported the Kings, attending several games a year, and often does cross-promotion with the Kings when his fights are scheduled to come to town. Now he’s returning the favor.

“The Sacramento Kings will pay tribute to local WEC great Urijah Faber at the Kings-Pistons game on Feb. 23 at ARCO Arena,” a Kings release said yesterday. It looks like the partnership is getting even more friendly.

Fans who purchase two tickets starting at $40.50 to Urijah Faber Night with the Kings will receive a free Urijah Faber “Form Athletics” hoodie, and the first 500 fans to purchase will get their hoodie signed by Faber. The Urijah Faber “Form Athletics” hoodie is the same hoodie Faber wears as he enters the cage and retails for $70. Form Athletics is a clothing line owned and operated by Faber.

“I am a huge Kings fan and so excited about this new, young team we have in Sacramento,” Faber said. “I’m pumped to be a part of this special night with the Kings and hope all Kings and WEC fans will join us at ARCO for this fun event.”
