With just less than a week until the NBA Draft Lottery, anticipation in Sacramento is building.
With roots extending back 110 years in the Netherlands, a country where 27 percent of all trips are made by bicycle, it’s no wonder that Rabobank sponsors one of the best and most respected pro cycling teams in the world. The Rabobank cycling team will compete in the Amgen Tour of California 2010 starting this weekend. The Tour de France-style cycling race challenges the world’s top professional bike teams to compete along a demanding course throughout California from May 16-23.
The 2010 Amgen Tour of California, the country’s biggest professional cycling road race, kicks off with Stage 1 from Nevada City to Sacramento on May 16. Recently, fans got to see who would be coming to town to compete as the Tour announced the teams and cyclists participating in this year’s race.

Nearly a year ago, cyclist Lucas Euser was training in Spain when he was involved in a crash with an SUV, sending the promising rider tumbling with multiple injuries. Now, a year later and after rehabbing a broken kneecap, the Northern California cyclist is ready to compete against some of the best in the world again.
