Ryan Anderson traded to Orlando Magic
Fresh off their NBA Finals appearance, the Orlando Magic beefed up their lineup today, adding former All-Star Vince Carter and rookie and El Dorado Hills native Ryan Anderson to the roster from New Jersey. The move involved a five-player trade between both teams, as Carter and Anderson left New Jersey in return for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee.
Sacramento Kings spin the NBA Draft roulette wheel with the No. 4 pick
Trying to figure out which NBA players will be drafted in what order Thursday is like playing roulette. There are safe picks and predictions, like Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin going No. 1 with the Los Angeles Clippers. That’s like picking black or red with your chips, knowing you have a 50-50 chance of being right and getting a 1-1 payoff with the correct call. The Clippers could surprise the world and pick someone else, but odds are in your favor with Griffin.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Sacramento Kings
In honor of the June 24 release of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” I thought I’d compare the Sacramento Kings, once the city’s biggest heroes, to the band of mechanically magical aliens we grew up loving as cartoons. These are specifically characters you saw on the big screen in the “Transformers” big-budget movie two years ago, but surprisingly resemble some of the players Sacramento fans will be watching this season.
