A Hangtown Motocross snapshot
Hey all, I wanted to get something up to whet your Hangtown Motocross Classic appetite. I’m trying to compile the results from today’s amateur qualifiers, as several local racers battled in front of the Sacramento-area crowd a day before the pros hit the dirt.
41st Hangtown Motocross Classic starts today
Fill up Arco Arena for a Sacramento Kings game twice and you’ll have just over the amount of fans expected to turn out for the 41st annual Hangtown Motocross Classic this weekend. Perhaps the biggest Sacramento sporting event every year, Hangtown geared up and sprinted from the gate earlier today, and will just get better and better each day through Saturday.

Memorial Day: It’s OK to have fun
I snuck away from a card game to reflect on what today has been. Surprisingly, despite us all having to go to work tomorrow, it’s been a pretty fun day, one full of games and family, one I think this very serious holiday should include.
Divided they fall: United knocked out
The dream season ended differently than players on the Folsom-Cordova United club lacrosse team had hoped for last weekend, as the varsity squad fell in the Final 4 semifinals to Petaluma on May 16, 14-4. The loss, thanks partly to a depleted roster, ended all championship hopes for the United, who ended up also losing the following day to Tomahawks Lacrosse in the bronze game, 12-5.
