Camellia Cup winner shares experience
I went one-on-one with 43rd annual Camellia Cup winner Wade Hough of Palermo, Calif. today, and he had some interesting things to say about his experience. Being the first to win the cup in a Raven boat is an accomplishment all in itself, but Hough did so in a storm on Folsom Lake, over the course of two days.

I always hated it when writers used exclamation points to express excitement. A good writer can convey the same emotion with description of the surrounding scenery, whether it be the expression on the teller’s face in a quote, the atmosphere of a stadium after a game or simply the tone of a interviewee’s voice.

United and Orangevale in lacrosse playoffs
When I wrote for the Folsom Telegraph last week that the Folsom-Cordova United varsity lacrosse team secured a playoff spot with its win over the rival and neighbor Orangevale Rams on May 1, there was a lot of speculation as to who was going where, who was playing whom, and who was done for the year.
