Turkey Day
Thanksgiving will be different this year. Yes, I will eat way too much and fall asleep watching bad football. Yes, I will do everything with a sense of laziness and apathy, knowing for at least one weekend during the year, I don’t HAVE to be somewhere and do something. But 2008 is different than other Thanksgivings. This year, I’m not just celebrating the holiday, I’m experiencing it.
High School Football Playoffs
I got an e-mail from John Williams, the assistant commissioner for the Sac-Joaquin Section, and in it, several interesting story lines were compiled on this year’s section high school football playoffs. For a year-and-a-half now I’ve been waiting to see my favorite player step on the field in the NFL. Last night, the wait was over, at least I thought.
Breaking Down the Big Battle
Boy, is my face red. After writing a blog this morning about the greatness that is Sacramento Mixed Martial Arts fighter Urijah Faber, he was knocked out in the first round of his WEC Featherweight championship fight in Florida tonight.
